Kyle Knoyle
One of the worst performances ever in a west ham shirt.

Thoughts?

Re: Kyle Knoyle
You can't really criticise full backs in that formation - they are exposed and have little cover or help in front of them.

Well out of his depth, but he didn't pick the side.

Re: Kyle Knoyle
I wouldn't agree about ever. First half he was good stuff at times.
Second half yeah it was bad. He looked shattered and couldn't do much with the ball. I think the best thing for him would have been to take him off around the hour mark. Chambers at centre half and Jenkinson right back.
It was good of Jenkinson to go help him out so much I thought. I've never seen a guy playing centre half almost doubling up as a right back.

On the evidence tonight he has a long fucking way to go.

Re: Kyle Knoyle
As harsh as it may seem, he certainly doesn't look cut out for the top, his delivery time and time again was awful, 2 throw ins straight to an Astra player, and caught ball watching several times.

Not a great night for the boy, but hopefully he proves me wrong and turns into the new dani alves.

Re: Kyle Knoyle
He resorted to just kicking it out of play blindly in the last 20 minutes.
I wasn't expecting that after the first 20 minutes as I thought he looked sharp and confident.
We had some subs but chose not to replace him. Bad move for me.

Re: Kyle Knoyle
To be fair thought the kids did better than the likes of Morgan A or Jarvis etc. Thought he should have played either Tomks/Ogbonna or Reid with Jenkinson at right back though which could have made the difference as he was the only one who looked a little nervy/out of his depth.

Re: Kyle Knoyle
He was very poor and outnof his.depth at this level.

But i do fear we are putting too much faith in players that in reality are nowhere good enough to form part of a.premier league squad. Who i mean is Poyet, Hendrie, Burke, Lee, Samuelson.

This blended with Deadwood such as Maiga, Zarate, Amalfitano, O'Brien, Jarvis, Nolan and even in my opinion Noble suggests to me.we are in for a big fight this season.

I really.thinking we are.lacking quality and the appointment of Dicks really makes me fearful and uncomfident of a manager who i dont think was.a good.appointment in the first.place based on.a very average club manager CV.

I hope Bilic does well but i cant hide my concern.

Poyet as miles ahead of everyone else
